A few Midwest dealers, smallmouth professionals, have considered this their very best big baitfish fly of all time, especially the Gray/White. While it will definitely get smacked by all size fish, this is the one they throw for big, big smallies. They implored us to "bring it back". This fly was originally very unlucky: hidden in all–purpose saltwater, introduced during the stock market crash and 9–11. It deserved better. It has caught literally everything in fresh and salt. But if your region has big smallmouth and largemouth, they will want to eat this fly.
